Prinsepia sinensis or Chinese Prinsepia is a deciduous fruiting plant with cherry-like edible fruit. It has a dense and rounded form of canopy and it is suited for hedges or screen.

The Charichuelo is a topical evergreen, indigenous to wet forests of Central and South America, closely related to the tropical fruit bearing tree Mangosteen. The fruit of the Charichuelo is soft white pulp with a slight citrus taste.

The tree is adaptable to most soil conditions and is not nutrient demanding. Tree propagation is by seed. Young plants need protection from frosts.
