Santalum spicatum or Sandalwood is a fruit bearing tree and nut bearing tree indigenous to India, Malaysia, Australia and eastern Polynesia. Fruit and nuts are both edible but most fruit is of inferior flavor and texture. Nuts are first-class eating, have high oil content and potentially have multiple purposes. There are important organic pharmaceuticals in the Sandalwood nut.

Oroxylum indicum or Midnight Horror Tree is an evergreen, tropical fruit bearing plant, native to India and south-central China. Fruit and seeds are edible. They are eaten cooked.

Crescentia cujete or Calabash is an evergreen, nut bearing tree indigenous to West Indies and Central and South America. Nuts (seeds) are edible. They are dried out and pound into a fine powder, mixed with sugar, a little water and brought to a boil. This makes pleasant syrup.
